WHY GROOM YOUR PET?

  • A clean pet = a happy pet! A happy pet = a happy owner!

  • Dirty pets track dirt and disease into your home which gets on your clothing, furniture and carpet and can spread to other members of your family.

  • Your pet will be so closely examined by the groomer during the cleaning process, a groomer may see extra lumps and bumps that may not normally be discovered.

  • Regular grooming can help you identify if you dog’s coat looks bad simply because it’s dirty or if there is something wrong with your dog such as allergies, poor nutrition, internal or external parasites or other diseases.

  • Grooming can eliminate various problems such as external parasites or open sores caused by a matted and dirty coat that traps bacteria.

  • Grooming is a part of responsible pet ownership and it contributes to the overall health and well-being of your pet.

What is your no-show or cancellation policy?

Clients are asked to notify the office 72 hours before your appointment if you wish to cancel or reschedule in order to avoid any charges. No-shows or cancellations by grooming clients after 9am (72 hours) before your appointment will be charged a $75 cancellation fee per pet.

Extreme Weather Cancellation Policy: In the event of an extreme weather, we make every effort to keep your scheduled grooming appointment. However because we are a mobile service we can't guarantee the service scheduled. We make every effort to fit you back into the grooming rotation as soon as possible.

What days do you groom pets?

We offer grooming services days a week.

Can I add on any extra services at the time of the appointment?

Absolutely! Just let your pet stylist know and she will update your account with the extra services!

How do I reserve an appointment?

You have two options if you are an existing client book online on our website or text our reservation line at 952-457-6900. A credit card is required to reserve your appointment. We will give you a (2) hour window for all appointments. New clients TEXT our reservation line ONLY for a phone consult before booking. Any online bookings made by new clients without a phone consultation may be subject to cancellation.

When is payment due and what forms of payment do you accept?

Payment is due when services are rendered. Vanity Fur accepts all forms of credit: VISA/MasterCard, Discover and AMEX. Vanity Fur will run your credit card at the door or at our home office . We NO LONGER accept checks or cash as a form of payment.

How much should you tip the groomer?

It’s entirely optional and greatly appreciated! Most clients tip anywhere from 10-20% depending on satisfaction and the service provided. You can tip at the time of service or add it to the credit card payment.

Do you do a consult before the first grooming session?

Vanity Fur will conduct an in-depth consult over the phone to assess which services are best for your pet. Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of your pets. If your pets have any allergies, sensitivities, lumps, bumps or pre-existing medical issues, please let us know at the time of the consult so we can ensure the best experience possible for your pets.

Why can’t you give me a specific time that you will come by?

We will book your appointment and give you a (2) hour window. While we would love to give you an exact time, we will never jeopardize the safety or well-being of a pet by hastening a groom. Nor will we put our pet stylist at risk by rushing to the next appointment. Please know we will do our best to maintain our schedule but if we are running behind or ahead of schedule, you will receive a courtesy call from Vanity Fur.

What if my pet is not comfortable with the grooming process?

We do our very best to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet at all times, and groomers have a variety of techniques to make pets feel comfortable and safe during the groom. In the event that these tools aren’t enough for our groomer to safely groom your pet, we use muzzles, e-collars, and even happy hoodies.

How often should I groom my pet?

It depends on the type of breed, type of coat and the level of activity of your pet. However, as a general guideline, we recommend a grooming appointment every 2-8 weeks.
